March HPNA meeting will focus on goals

The March HPNA meeting will be held Thursday, March 19th at 7pm at the HP neighborhood center, corner of Duncan and Hawthorne.

The sole focus of the meeting will be to discuss goals for the Highland Park Neighborhood Association. If you have ideas about how to make HP a better neighborhood or specific concerns you would like the association to address, this is your chance to come and be heard! We want to hear from you!

Ultimately, I’d like neighbors to share their ideas and agree upon a set of reasonable goals. I know this is a great deal to cover in one meeting, but we need to get this conversation started….then the board can work to finalize a detailed plan including strategies, tactics, and timelines for each goal.

Some of the broad topics that are already on the table for discussion include, but are not limited to:

  • Improving neighborhood communication
  • Increasing neighborhood safety efforts
  • Increasing awareness of housing issues in HP
  • Increasing beautification efforts
  • Establishing/re-establishing relationship with local business (including TTU)
  • Explore neighborhood best practices
  • Your idea(s)!

Hope to see you there!
